Meeting Minutes

8-16-2022

Slade called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Slade welcomed everyone to the meeting.

Jeff Maurer presented the Treasurer’s Report:  There has been no activity and therefore no difference in revenuesince last month.  The bank balance as of July 31, 2022 is $2,988.63.

Slade mentioned that he heard from Dennis Conrad about the State Fair at Meadow Event Park regarding volunteers to work the Honey Booth this year.  Chip and Linda Carpenter along with Mat and Sylvia Lewis expressed an interest in working the booth.  Slade said there will be a schedule and a sign-up sheet that will get circulated and an announcement about an upcoming meeting regarding this event.  The fair is from September 23rd thru October 2nd.  If anyone has interest in volunteering their time, this is an opportunity to generate revenue for the club!

We talked about collecting dues.  Since there had been confusion over the past several years due to COVID and lack of participation about whether we would collect dues, we ended the confusion tonight and voted in favor for continuing to collect dues.  Linda said she would circulate an email letting members know it is time to pay dues.

Every year we pay the church 10% of our proceeds for the year for the use of our meeting room.  Chip Carpenter made a motion to pay the church 10% of our proceeds each year or a minimum of $150.00.  Mat and Sylvia seconded the motion and all members present were in favor.

Our topic of discussion tonight was Preparing Bees for Winter which was presented by Slade Hart.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
