Slade called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Present (12)

Jeff Maurer presented the Treasurer’s Report:

UNITED BANK ACCOUNT - As of 2/28/2022

Checking Account Balance: $2,966.63

Cash on Hand - $195.41

Total: $3,162.04

Income received came from Books sold $45 and dues collected $30 along with a $2.00 Donation ($77.00)

Books remaining:

Beekeeping Basics - 17

Field Guides - 14

Old Business:

Are we planning to do “Around the Hive” as our last session of the Beginning Beekeeping class? Weather is finally improving so that we can plan this. It will be mandatory for anyone who attends to wear at least a veil. Linda reported that the class went very well and we received positive feedback.

We had an open discussion tonight which included swarms, some tips on ways to keep newly caught swarms from swarming again, the weather, and several members shared various experiences.

Queen color for this year is Yellow. Remember, “Will You Raise Good Bees”. Years ending in 1 or 6=White, 2 or 7=Yellow, 3 or 8=Red, 4 or 9 =Green, 5 or 0=Blue
